Women in Latin America March Against Femicide

Armored police responded in some places as women organized in multiple countries including Argentina, Columbia, and Mexico to protest sex-based violence. Mexico saw it's fourth consecutive monthly increased in sex-based homicide after 80 women died in the month of October.

Groups around the world show their support as the Women's Rights Revolution in Iran moves into its third month. A list of demands has been made, including repeal of dress-code laws and open support for the protests by governments abroad.

Grace Hopper - Computer Pioneer

Grace Hopper (1906 - 1992) was a computer scientist, mathematician, and U.S. Navy Rear Admiral. Her work inventing the first code compiler and co-developing the programming language COBOL allowed computers to recognize words in addition to numbers and laid the foundation for modern computers and networks. She attained a high rank in the military when enlistment by females was still extremely rare.
